The success and prosperity of the Candido house
Angelines, wife of Alberto Cándido López and mother of Cándido, has followed the family tradition at the Mesón de Cándido, taking a fundamental role in the administration of all the businesses of the Cándido Family Business Group, being one of the essential figures that allowed not only the legacy of her ancestors to endure, but also the expansion of the family business.
Today, at 91 years of age, he continues to take an active role in the management of the family business, becoming an essential figure in the house and one of its main emblems.
In 2003, he created the Cándido Mesonero Mayor de Castilla Foundation, with the aim of promoting gastronomic training and research and promoting projects for disadvantaged groups.
In 2006 he founded the Hotel Cándido, a large luxury hotel located in Segovia, 5 minutes from the Aqueduct, with 108 rooms, gardens, swimming pools and first-class facilities, such as an à la carte restaurant, paddle tennis courts and spa.
In 2021, she founded La Finca de los Jazmines, an open and natural space for events and weddings, creating a magical environment with the “Casona”, the main building of the estate, with capacity for 500 people and equipped with the latest technologies.
Angelines’ effort and sacrifice has been a model of inspiration for the entire Cándido family, and she is also the maternal figure of the house.
